SPECIAL TOUR PROGRAM “RETURN TO TAY DO – BECOME A LANDOWNER”
Code: 001 | Duration: 02 hours | Location: My Khanh Ecotourism Village – Can Tho
Step into the Life of a Landowner – Experience Old Tay Do
If you have ever dreamed of living in the idyllic Southern Vietnamese countryside, donning the luxurious silk attire of a traditional landowner, the “Return to Tay Do – Become a Landowner” program at My Khanh Ecotourism Village offers an unmissable, unique experience.
Here, visitors not only transform into elegant landowners of the 1930s but are also attended by “managers,” “servants,” and “farm overseers,” vividly recreating a golden era of Southern Vietnamese culture.
EXPERIENCE “LANDOWNER VISITS THE VILLAGE”

Farm overseers in traditional attire warmly welcome the landowner family at the village gate with umbrellas, fans, and ceremonial canopies, creating a nostalgic old-world atmosphere.
Step 1 – Costume Change & Landowner Tea Ceremony
Guests are invited to the 115-year-old traditional “Ba Gian Hai Chai” house to change into luxurious velvet and brocade landowner costumes.
Here, visitors wash their hands with Southern Vietnamese floral water, enjoy tea with traditional cakes and fresh fruits, listen to live music, and hear reports from the “manager” about the estate, accompanied by the gentle sounds of a vintage phonograph.
Step 2 – Estate Tour & Sightseeing
After discussing “estate business,” the landowner group boards a mini train or electric car to tour the estate, inspecting crops and fields guided by the farm overseers.
Visitors will witness and experience:
- Fun pig racing, terrain dog racing, and animal shows
- My Khanh flower garden, carp feeding, crocodile fishing, and a wildlife garden
- Seasonal specialty fruit gardens, the Cultural House of Four Southwestern Ethnic Groups: Kinh – Hoa – Cham – Khmer
- Exhibition of farming tools & traditional Southern craft village
Step 3 – Farewell to the Landowner
At the end of the tour, farm overseers and servants continue to escort guests with fans and ceremonial canopies to the village gate, accompanied by the gentle sounds of Southern Vietnamese traditional music.
A journey that authentically recreates the elegant, charming, and emotional life of a Southern landowner.
